New to Last Z, or just never taken full advantage of what's free every day? This is the foundation. Master this before anything else.

The Basics

Level Up Your Play Style

  • Save diamonds for shields if you'll be offline for a while — never spend them putting out fires.
  • Level up your Warehouse and anti-theft research to protect your resources.
  • Earn resources through daily tasks, events, mining and farming.
  • Port to the hive for help on Boomers and the Tyrant.
  • Use the VS Duel theme + Full Preparedness as your guide to better rewards.
  • Tap the helping-hands icon by the Alliance button to help teammates — it's free.
  • Donate to Alliance Tech every login and logout — it earns shop credits and grows the alliance.
  • Choose your fights wisely. Only hit equal/higher HQs if their tanks are out and the loot is worth it.
  • Do your vehicle modification and upgrades at the start of every week.
  • Have fun — it's a game.
Every Single Day

The Daily Checklist

  1. Complete your daily tasks (Vivian icon).
  2. Boomers — launch 5 of your own, then 25 assists (turn on auto-join).
  3. Attack the Fury Lord 4× for all rewards.
  4. Bounty Missions — plus 5 alliance assists and 5 plunders from others.
  5. Trucks — send out and plunder other states' trucks; best 2 formations, 2 waves.
  6. Arena — 5 attempts, best done 10–15 min before reset (30 min on Sunday).
  7. Mine Melee digs — best 2 formations first, in 2 waves.
  8. Farm for Alliance Food / Wood.
  9. Hold the Alliance Tech donate button on login and before logout.
  10. Zombie Siege — Mondays 12:00 AT; get all troops home before then.
  11. The Tyrant runs 3×/week — set to Engage Offline if you can't attend so you still earn rewards.
  12. Clear every chest from the Full Preparedness challenge — patience + timing is all it takes.
The Core Loop

The Weekly VS / Alliance Duel

This is where the game is won. One golden rule underlies everything: save your resources and use them only on the day that scores them — and line those actions up with the two daily Full Preparedness windows for double points, double rewards.

Read This First

Why Timing Beats Spending

If you randomly burn upgrades, skill books or hero fragments whenever you get them, you're leaving free rewards on the table. Hoard everything all week. Then spend it on the matching Duel day, inside a Full Preparedness window (08:00 AT and 20:00 AT). The same action scores in both events at once. That's a free doubling of points for doing nothing but waiting.

DayThemeWhat to hoard for it
Day 1Modded Vehicle BoostBlueprints, Golden Wrenches, Components, Chips, Radar tasks
Day 2Shelter UpgradeUnfinished builds, speedups, Refugee Tickets, Orange Bounties, Mythic upgrades
Day 3Age of ScienceA big research to finish + research speedups; Orange Trucks only
Day 4Hero InitiativeHero Tickets, Fragments, Skill Books, Alloys, Equipment Chests, Experience
Day 5Holistic GrowthTroop-training speedups (+ construction/research speedups)
Day 6Enemy Buster & State RulerOne 24h shield saved; loot the enemy server, then shield
Day 7Rest DayTake it easy — regroup for the next week
Day 1

Modded Vehicle Boost

Don't touch your vehicle all week. On this day, open every Random Component Box and Chip Chest and spend all your Blueprints and Golden Wrenches — during one of the two FP windows.

Being in an alliance, you can Rally Boomers. I almost always pick level 9–10 even when the card says "Certain Defeat" — more points, better rewards, better use of gas (unless you're losing too often).

Note: components won't apply to your tank until it hits level 100. Not there yet? Grind to 100. Also save your Radar tasks for this day.
Day 2

Shelter Upgrade

Leave unfinished builds (the ones with checkmarks) for today, and finish them inside an FP window. Use all your saved shelter speedups now — no need any other day. Advanced play: time an expensive building (like HQ) to complete during a window.

Refugee tickets: never spend more than 500 per refugee — use the free refresh and try the next batch. Chasing one orange with 2,000 then 5,000 tickets means 7,500 spent for one refugee (≈15 first-round tries). One-and-refresh yields more oranges and more refugees overall.

Raise the star level of orange/purple refugees only, and only by one star — the second star costs exponentially more for the same bonus. Also: Orange Bounties only, and upgrade Mythic Equipment today only.

Day 3

Age of Science

You should always be researching — but time a big research completion for today and dump research speedups inside an FP window.

Orange Trucks only today. Not scoring 800k+? Follow this one rule: refresh trucks until orange, dispatch, repeat. 200,000 points per orange truck. Save your refreshes for the days they score.
Day 4

Hero Initiative

Save every hero upgrade for today — Tickets, Fragments, Skill Books, Alloys, Equipment Chests, Experience. Never use Hero Recruitment Tickets on any other day.

Equipment order — always: Rifles → Boots → Helmets → Vests. Keep helmet 5 levels above vest, boots 5 above helmet, rifle 10+ above boots. Focus everything on your F1 tank team first.

Day 4 Deep Dive

How to Crack the 3-Million (and 6-Million) Point Chest

Everyone should hit the 2.2M chest; with a little effort, 3M is easy. Here's the sequence on Hero day:

  1. Hero Recruitment Tickets — burn them all first, timed to the FP Hero Initiative challenge → 150k+ pts
  2. Hero Fragments — upgrade F1 team first, then F2. Consider saving some to boost F1 tank heroes next week → 2.5M+ pts
  3. Equipment — open gold + purple chests, F1 tank team first; promote rifles, then boots, complete one circle across the team before starting the next → +1–1.3M pts → 3M chest
Real talk: the jump to the 6M chest is exponentially harder. Best strategy — go for 6M every 2nd or 3rd week by stockpiling fragments, alloys and books toward that one push, instead of stalling at 4–4.5M every week.
Day 5

Holistic Growth

You score for Construction, Research, and Troop Training today. Save the bulk of your troop-training speedups for now. Points are per troop unit — so if you're purely gaming for points, train your lowest-level troops and speed those up for the best point-per-speedup ratio.

Day 6

Enemy Buster & State Ruler

SvS at 11:00 AT. Some of the most fun — and highest reward — in the game. Unlock all chests for the Valor Medals (they buy orange equipment): up to 5,200, or 10,400 with the research unlocked.

Strategy: TvT someone without Annihilation (no permanent troop loss, no gas) around your level or lower — both sides gain points fast. Or farm weaker HQs for RSS + points. Then shield. A 2,000-diamond 24h shield is far cheaper than rebuilding a wiped army.

State Ruler runs a 2-weeks-on / 2-weeks-off cycle. Teleports to/from the enemy server are free — scout many HQs, teleport home to read reports, then teleport back beside the juicy targets and hit fast.

Alliance Events

The Big Events

Where an alliance proves itself. Show up, coordinate, and follow the playbook.

Every 3 Days · 15 min

The Tyrant

A powerful alliance boss that appears every 3 days if your alliance is big enough. You have 15 minutes to bring it down through rallies, earning individual and alliance rewards.

Rules: you must be within 80 km to join a rally and within 30 km to start one. Weaker players should fill open rally slots before starting new ones.

Tips: stay close to the zone; tap the red/yellow skull to manually join rallies (higher individual score). Use the War Frenzy trick — send troops at any player then recall instantly for a ~10-min damage buff; repeat to keep it up. During the event, ignore Boomers, Zombies, Creeps, Treasure and mining — all troops on the Tyrant.

Team Battle Royale

Canyon Clash

No resources are looted and no troops die — just heal 20–30 at a time and help others heal. As soon as it starts, teleport between two targets (canyon teleports are free, short cooldown). Take and hold buildings.

When the monster appears top-right, teleport and hit her. Watch the center counter — at 1 minute to core release, position between center and your base corner. Keep your F1 tank team out of the core fight but close to the carrier, so you can grab the core the instant it drops.

Canyon Clash · Battle Plan 1.3

The Four-Team Playbook

Each team is assigned a letter (A/B/C/D) — the commander marks the map; tap the flag icon (lower-left) for your orders. Key spots: Power Core (spawns ~20 min in), Hospital (healing buffs + points), Military Camp (attack buffs + points), Tyrant (spawns ~10 min in).

Phase 1

A — Hospital + NW buildings
B — Hospital + SE buildings
C — NE buildings + Tyrant, then re-capture during cooldown
D — SW buildings

Phase 2

A ↔ swap with D, take/hold SW Military base
B — protect SE Hospital
C — hold from Phase 1
D ↔ swap with A, protect NW Hospital

Phase 3

All teams: 5 min before the Core spawns, gather at the Power Core. Once obtained, reinforce the carrier's HQ; everyone else escorts the core tank home, then back to your posts.

Mondays · 12:00 AT

Zombie Siege

Each week, prep your defense: upgrade walls, turrets, and traps, research Base Defense, Troop Resistance, and Hero Power, and assign your strongest heroes with defensive/AoE passives to your city-wall formations. Train enough troops to fill defense squads and support reinforcements.

Reinforce allies late in the siege to avoid stealing their points, recall troops if your own base is threatened, and lean on hero passive buffs. Get all tank teams home before it starts.

Systems & Pro-Tips

Mechanics That Win Games

The hidden systems and habits that separate a farmer from a force.

Hero Counters

Factions — The Rock, Paper, Scissors

In arena/PvP, picking the right faction gives roughly a 10% battle bonus. Because Blood Rose is so common, many players run Wings of Dawn for easy counters.

Rice Picker or Samurai?

Protecting Resources

The best defense is to not collect your resources. A base sitting on 10M+ food and wood is a billboard for high-level farmers. When the alliance pulls hundreds of millions off the Tyrant, don't claim it until you're ready to spend.

Store challenges you can bank: Bounty Missions, your last 2–4 trucks of the day, Melee Mines (mine Crystals for XP, not easily-stolen Zents), State Chronicles, the Tyrant. Chest rewards? Collect those — they're safe. Need to hold a big pile for a build? Shield up, or save diamonds for one.

"I am a samurai, and I will not pick rice for the high-level players in this game."
The Center of the Map

Capital Building Buffs

Grab the buffs from the Capital Building in the middle of the map. Positions auto-rotate, so re-apply to keep the boost — and remember it only affects new actions. The 15% faster-farming buff won't apply to tank teams already out farming; get the buff first, then send them.

Don't know what this means? Read all Notices and answer all Polls — that's where this stuff lives.

Loot Discipline

Bounty Missions

Only steal Bounties and hit Trucks from other servers, never your own. Fastest route: open the Others' Trucks tab (check "hide trucks from this state"), tap Loot on any foreign truck to jump to that server, then hunt the map for orange Bounty books (fall back to purple).

Best window: 4–5 hours after reset (≈04:00–05:00 AT) for high-level oranges. At 111k points each, six oranges easily clears your first four chests — save your bounty refreshes for this.

Coordination

Team-Up / Rally Attacks

Tap the target → Team Up → pick your best tank team → set the timer (5/10/30/60 min) → March. The red-skull icon (bottom of the World / HQ screens) shows all active rallies.

Tap the green Headshot+ to join a teammate's rally, the green Share to broadcast yours, or the red X to cancel. Manually joining scores you more than auto-join.

Siege Warfare

Attacking a City

Declaring war needs the Leader or an R4, an alliance of 20+ members, and can be done once a day on one city. The war lasts 12 hours.

Cities have NPC defenders — beat them fast or they fully heal. Then demolish durability (only durability destruction scores during that stage; winning the siege itself grants no bonus points). Occupation: take a Level 1 city first; after that, every city you war must be adjacent to your existing territory.

Duel Formations

Champion Duel Setup

Most people order their three teams strongest → weakest. Try the opposite twist: put your weakest team first, strongest second, middle third. It catches opponents who dump their best against your lead slot.

Clock & Freebies

Apocalypse Time (AT)

Tap the small billboard on the lower-right of your HQ for the Action Guide (where AT is listed) and Notice tabs. The day resets at 00:00 AT.

Two free chests refresh daily at reset — tap your diamonds (top-right) → Daily Sale + Super Supplies. Don't miss them.

End of Season

Season II & Server Migration

Season I rewarded holding high-level cities. Season II rewards Influence, driven by Virus Resistance — raise it by leveling and stacking Sandsoul and Sapphire. Focus your Virus Labs and Land Agency buildings first.

At season's end you may migrate servers. Higher power needs more Server Migration Passes; slots per power category are limited, and you'll need an invitation from the destination server's president. Weigh the pros and cons before jumping.

How a Top Alliance Runs

The Pancakes House Rules

Any alliance can copy these. They're the simple habits that keep a group safe and growing stronger — the difference between a random roster and a real team.

The Code

Eight Rules That Keep Us Growing

  1. Do not cause trouble in World Chat.
  2. Contribute to Alliance Tech when you log on, and again before you log off.
  3. Coordinate Full Preparedness timing with the VS/Duel challenge to max points in both.
  4. Join as many alliance events as you can: Tyrant, Enemy Buster, State Ruler, Canyon Clash, Zombie Siege, Saga Zombies, Yetis, Glory War.
  5. Don't do Boomers, Treasures, or anything that compromises group events — including the first two hours of Enemy Buster Day.
  6. Only attack Trucks, steal Bounties, and hit Mines from players on other servers.
  7. Save one 24h shield each week for Enemy Buster Day. Loot to your daily limit, then shield for the rest of the day — enemies want your points, and rebuilding troops costs far more than a shield.
  8. Attack four enemy-server Trucks daily. The enemy changes weekly — tap State Ruler to see who (it runs 2 weeks on / 2 off); if none, hit the VS enemy's trucks.
Culture

Growth & Teamwork

Alliance Tech: hold the donate button every login and logout — contribute to the item with the thumbs-up. Max your free contribution multiple times a day; only spend diamonds (up to 10×/day) if you have them to spare.

Alliance Help: tap the handshake icon by the Alliance button whenever it appears — helping teammates build, research and heal is free and instant.

Stay active. At 100 members we make room for stronger, more active players — individual strength makes the whole alliance stronger. Read every Notice, answer every Poll, and ask an R4 when you're unsure.

Our policy on absence: after 3 offline days a player drops to R1; after 6, they're removed to make room — but always welcome back once active again.
